FEMININE FORM
THE STORY
Captured amongst the endless dunes of Australia’s east coast.
This series came from a fascination with the feminine form existing naturally within the landscape — without distraction, without excess, and without anything separating the body from its environment.
I’ve always been obsessed with Mad Max — the vastness, the isolation and the rawness of the Australian landscape. That became part of the visual language for this shoot.
The dunes felt almost otherworldly. Endless lines of sand, shifting light and a landscape that seemed to stretch forever.
I wanted the photographs to feel cinematic, but still completely natural. Bare skin against the elements. The softness of the human form contrasted with the harshness and scale of the environment.
There’s something beautiful about that contrast.
Feminine Form is about the body as part of nature — not separate from it, but immersed within it.
A study of form, landscape and the raw beauty of simply being.
