I woke before the crack of dawn, chasing the dreamy haze that settles over the Sicilian horizon as the sun begins to rise.
No map, no plan — just instinct.
There’s something about wandering a city in those early hours, before the streets wake and the day begins, that lets you see it differently. The quiet corners, the morning light, the people beginning their rituals.
I think you really get to know a place when you make exploring it a ritual.
And sometimes, the best way to find a town is to simply get lost in it.
