THE STORY
Looking back, that contrast is what makes this photograph mean so much to me. The stillness of the dunes, the feeling of isolation, and the wildness of the journey it took to get there.
What I didn’t know was that the real adventure was waiting for us on the way home.
A storm rolled in, and what had been a beautiful day quickly turned into something pretty terrifying. The water turned rough, the sky closed in, and for a moment I genuinely feared for our lives.
Thankfully, we made it out unscathed.
It also became one of the first images in my print series.
A photograph born from friendship, adventure and a little bit of fear — now something I get to share beyond that day.
